1. Nature of the Platform

I acknowledge that the Beyond Limits Learning Hub provides educational and general information only. The content is not individualised allied health, medical, psychological, behavioural, educational, or legal advice, and is not tailored to the specific needs, diagnosis, or circumstances of any individual child or family.

I acknowledge that my use of the Platform does not, by itself, create a doctor-patient, clinician-patient, or therapeutic relationship, and does not give rise to any obligation to provide diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, or emergency care.

2. Not an Emergency Service

I acknowledge that the Platform is not monitored continuously, is not suitable for urgent or emergency matters, and must not be used as a substitute for contacting emergency services, a hospital, or a treating practitioner.

If there is a medical emergency, safety risk, or mental health crisis, I will contact the appropriate emergency service immediately, including calling 000 or attending the nearest hospital emergency department.

3. Independent Professional Advice

I acknowledge that I am responsible for seeking my own independent professional advice regarding the specific needs of my child or family member before relying on or implementing any content, activity, strategy, or suggestion contained in the Platform.

I must not delay seeking professional advice, disregard professional advice, or make important clinical, educational, behavioural, or care decisions solely on the basis of Platform content.

4. Child Supervision and Suitability

I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for:

• supervising any child engaging with activities or ideas referenced in the Platform;

• assessing whether the content is suitable for the individual child, having regard to their age, developmental stage, conditions, allergies, medications, and any directions from treating practitioners;

• ensuring that any activity is undertaken safely; and

• stopping any activity if there is any risk of harm, distress, discomfort, dysregulation, fatigue, pain, or adverse reaction.

5. Assumption of Risk 

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my use of the Platform and any implementation of Platform content. I understand that children respond differently, and that what may be appropriate in one context may be inappropriate in another. No guarantee of any particular outcome is made.

6. Release

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I release Beyond Limits Paediatric Therapy Pty Ltd and its directors, employees, contractors, and related entities from any claims arising from my use of the Platform or reliance on its content.

7. Indemnity

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beyond Limits Paediatric Therapy Pty Ltd against any claims, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from:

• my breach of the Terms of Use;

• my misuse of the Platform;

• my implementation of Platform content; or

• my failure to supervise a child appropriately during any activity.

8. Privacy Consent

I acknowledge that personal information submitted through the Platform will be collected, used, stored, and disclosed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

If I provide sensitive information or health information, including information about a child, I consent to its handling as described in the Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by law, and confirm that I am authorised to provide it.

9. Authority

If I provide information relating to a child or another person, I confirm that I am the parent, guardian, or authorised adult with lawful authority to provide that information and to agree to these terms on their behalf where applicable.

10. Confirmation

By selecting ‘I agree’, creating an account, purchasing access, or continuing to use the Platform, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to this User Acknowledgment, the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy.
